La Mesa Buffet in Sagamore Hills is set to celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, September 19. The party runs from 4 to 8 p.m. and will feature $5 rocks margaritas throughout the event. Music will come courtesy of DJ L Rev. Guests can find the restaurant at 500 West Aurora Road.
A new spot for Mexican food
La Mesa Buffet opened in the Sagamore Square plaza in August, taking over the space once occupied by Tuscan Vine and Loose Moose. The restaurant serves a Mexican buffet with options including mole enchiladas, empanadas, ceviche and margaritas made from scratch. A build your own salad bar and rotating specials round out the menu.
Owner Joaquin Montiel brought more than three decades of restaurant experience to the project. He previously ran Tacos Mexicanos in Macedonia before opening La Mesa in his own community.
The celebration gives residents a chance to sample the buffet and enjoy the discounted margaritas.
