Lane Conway collected four hits in four at bats, as Twinsburg Varsity Tigers defeated Brecksville-Broadview Heights 7-0 on Wednesday at Dodge Intermediate School. Conway singled in the first inning, singled in the sixth inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the fifth inning.
Twinsburg Varsity Tigers got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Conway singled down the right field line, Gavin Davis was struck by a pitch, and Martwon Shannon walked, each scoring one run.
Owen Shinada earned the win for Twinsburg Varsity Tigers. The pitcher gave up one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out seven and walking one. #1 took the loss for Brecksville-Broadview Heights. The starter went four and two-thirds innings, giving up four runs on five hits, striking out three and walking three. Ryan Hojdar and Jeff Klominek each threw shutout innings for Twinsburg Varsity Tigers in relief.
Davis, Kyler Hoon, and Conway each drove in two runs for Twinsburg Varsity Tigers.
#4 and #11 each collected one hit for Brecksville-Broadview Heights.
Twinsburg Varsity Tigers will travel to Brecksville-Broadview Heights for their next game on Thursday.
