COLUMBUS—State Senator Frank LaRose (R-Hudson), who currently represents a large portion of Congressman Ralph Regula’s former district, issued the following statement today in response to his passing:
“I am saddened to hear of the passing of former U.S. Congressman Ralph Regula. He and his wife Mary mentored my wife Lauren and I during our early years in public service. Ralph Regula represented Ohio proudly. He was a native son, who served his country in the United States Navy and in the U.S. Congress. Elected to serve in both the Ohio House and Senate, Regula worked hard to represent the people back home. Congressman Regula was a true public servant and an incredible example of statesmanship and bipartisanship that all elected leaders should strive to emulate.”
“Lauren and I wish to send our deepest sympathies and love to the Regula family during this difficult time. We are forever grateful for the significant impact Ralph made on our lives and in our state.”
