Last Chance To Help Summit County “Clear The Shelter”!

399

SUMMIT COUNTY, OHIO—Summit County residents have less than one week left to help clear Summit County Animal Control. Throughout the month of August, Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro lowered adoption prices in coordination with the annual, national pet adoption drive, Clear the Shelters, ending on August 31. Last year, 20 shelters across Northeast Ohio found new homes for over 2,500 pets!

During the Clear the Shelter Adoption Event adoption, costs are reduced to $28 for dogs (regularly $94) and $5 for cats (regularly $50). The animals are fully vetted (bloodwork, flea treatments, intestinal de-worming, spay/neuter, and vaccinations) and ready to be taken home. Those who adopt a dog will also receive a 2022 Summit County Dog License included in the adoption cost.

Residents can stop by 250 Opportunity Parkway in Akron or call 330-643-2845 to visit or schedule an appointment.
