Ok, I really dont know where or how to start with the issues of the PARADE. NEO babble has over 400 comments and I have 20+ PM. So I will try to shed some light on the problem. With any event there should be a committee, we don’t seem to have one. Nobody knows who or where to turn to for questions or answers. There were certain individuals that took it upon themselves to change some of the rules regarding the parade without a meeting or a vote in the matter. We need to ALL come together and start a committee to include VFW, police,fire, American legion, band and whoever is involved with the parade, so we ALL have a say on how the parade is handled. I personally have no problem with candy or floats in the parade and a somber ceremony at the cemetery. Maybe there needs to be some kind of rules in regards of who and what kind of candy is thrown.
WE, the Northfield VFW is stepping in to take care of this problem before it’s to late. We, the Northfield VFW will be having a meeting at our VFW June 30th at 4pm. I would like EVERYONE Involved to come and voice your opinions and concerns. If we ALL work as a TEAM anything is possible!!! Let’s make next years parade the best there ever was!!!
