Here’s a list of the new repairs beginning within the surrounding area.
New Repairs
State Route 8 in the City of Cuyahoga Falls
(Friday, August 18 – Saturday, August 19)
The ramp from SR 8 northbound to Portage Trail is closed through Saturday, August 19, at 8 p.m. for bridge repairs. The detour is SR 8 northbound to Broad Blvd. to Newberry St. to Portage Trail.

SR 8 between Howe Ave. and Graham Rd. has various daily and nightly lane restrictions for milling and resurfacing. These restrictions will occur between 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. This work is part of a $4.6 million project to resurface SR 8 between Howe Rd. and Graham Rd., SR 303 from east of Chittenden Rd. to Olde 8 and on SR 261 from just west of SR 8 to N. Main St. The project also includes miscellaneous bridge repairs. The entire project is scheduled to be complete by October 2017.
Interstate 271 in Richfield Township and the Village of Richfield
(Friday, August 18)
Everett Rd. over I-271 is NOW OPEN. (Friday, August 18 – Tuesday, August 22)
Southern Rd. over I-271 is closed through Tuesday, August 22, for bridge deck repairs. The detour is Everett Rd. to Medina Line Rd. to Hawkins Rd.
(Tuesday, August 22 – Saturday, August 26)
Beginning Tuesday, August 22, Medina Line Rd. over I-271 will be closed through Saturday, August 26, for bridge deck repairs. The detour will be Everett Rd. to Southern Rd. to Hawkins Rd.

I-271 between the Medina County line and Brecksville Rd. has various lane restrictions during non-peak hours for bridge painting. This work is part of a $1.9 million project to make bridge repairs to the Medina Line Rd., Southern Rd. and Everett Rd. bridges over I-271. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late September 2017.
