For the last few years I have been working with Nordonia High School students and helping them cover high school sports, drama productions and other school news. What I tell the students is: “If you are interested in photography, videography, podcasting, or writing, why not try it out while you are in high school. You never know how you would do until you try. High school should be about exploring what you like to do and future possible career opportunities.” This past school year we have had a big surge in the amount of students that have participated.
Darayus Sethna has a weekly podcast called “The Cleveland Sports Show” and also does play-by-play for a lot of the Nordonia high school basketball games. See some of his projects here. Andrew Thompson also did some Nordonia High School basketball broadcasting. See some of his projects here.
2019 graduate, Jacob Malensek reported on Nordonia High School Football before and during the games. He also wrote about baseball, softball and track and in the spring. You can see some of his projects here.
Another 2019 High School Graduate Devin Parish filmed some of the football, basketball games and wrote articles and podcasts about some of the teachers and staff. See some of his projects here.
Brooke Tyukodi also a 2019 graduate interviewed students involved with some of the Nordonia Play Productions. See some of her projects here.
DJ Resch did some staff interviews, video production and articles. See some of his projects here.
