A longtime resident of Maple View Road, who complained to Council October 28, returned November 11, to thank them for work being done on the area.
“Thank you,” he said. “Work has already begun on Maple View Road.”
Previously, the resident complained to Council that he had attempted several things, including bringing in a backhoe to level areas of his yard, to stop water retention problems. The man called his yard “the toilet for all things coming off east and west Bedford Road.”
The resident said a pipe runs under the road and collects debris along the way, ending up in the lowest point – his backyard.
The man said he has asked for help from various mayors and council people for more than 40 years, he said. And it’s not just his home. Several yards in his area are affected during rain.
