Macedonia Police responded to E. Aurora Road on August 24 to assist Sagamore Hills Police with a domestic disturbance between a male and female. Officer Nicholas Szaibel provided mutual aid to the neighboring department. The incident was resolved without arrests or further complications.

Counterfeit Bills Found at Macedonia GNC Store

$40 in fake currency discovered during bank deposit

GNC at Macedonia Commons discovered four counterfeit $10 bills when manager Adam Yuzwa attempted to make a bank deposit at 5/3 Bank on August 27. The bank’s detection equipment flagged the fake currency, keeping three bills while returning one for evidence. Police were unable to determine when the counterfeit money was received, as the store doesn’t track individual cash transactions. The case has been suspended due to lack of leads.

Amazon Driver Bitten by Dog on Chamberlin Road

Dog owner provided current vaccination records

An Amazon delivery driver was bitten on the ankle by a dog while attempting to deliver a package on Chamberlin Road on August 22. The driver, who was treated at the scene, reported the dog escaped from its leash before the attack. The dog owner, who was inside on a work call, apologized and provided current vaccination documentation. An Animal Bite/Exposure Report was filed with Summit County Public Health.
