Macedonia police were dispatched to the area of Tractor Supply on Alexandria Way for a report of a female that had just stolen merchandise. The caller stated that as she was pulling into the parking lot she saw the assistant manager chasing a female through the lot. She has called out saying that the female had left the store with unpaid merchandise. The suspected thief was wearing all black and reportedly ran toward Fifth Third Bank. As police units were in the area, they noticed a female matching the description in the lobby of the bank.
The police officer approached the female and she started apologizing and stated that she needed the money for her kids. She was placed under arrest and advised of her Miranda rights. They asked her if she had any illegal substance on her and she stated that she had “Meth in her left breast”. Once back at the Macedonia Jail, the officer recovered a plastic sandwich type baggie from the suspect’s left cup of her bra. The bag contained 1.3 grams of methamphetamine. She was charged with petty theft and possession of a controlled substance.
