Brews & Blends offers personalized health plans, protein-packed menu items
When Brews & Blends opened in February on Freeway Drive in Macedonia, I stopped by to introduce the new nutrition shop to our community. What started as a simple interview turned into a personal health journey that’s changed my life.
I decided to try their Healthy You plan, a weight management program that focuses on improving nutrition rather than just counting calories. Since then, I’ve lost 30 pounds, and I feel great.
The shop, located near the Interstate 271 entrance by the Speedway on Route 82, offers more than typical protein shakes. Owner Wibb and his wife Sandra create customized plans based on individual goals, whether that’s weight loss, increased energy or athletic performance.
“The real goal here is to improve nutrition and change the way we think about food, eating the right foods, but also becoming more active,” Wibb said.
The menu includes quinoa bowls, high-protein waffles and donuts, protein balls and protein power cups similar to overnight oats. Everything is designed to increase protein intake while actually tasting good. They also offer gluten-free and vegan options, plus specialty drinks like a green drink and matcha beverages.
What sets Brews & Blends apart is the ongoing support. When I mentioned getting foggy during long walks, Wibb suggested I wasn’t eating enough carbs beforehand. When my weight loss plateaued, we adjusted my plan. This isn’t an app with generic advice—it’s real guidance from someone who understands the process.
Wibb lost 53 pounds using these products 12 years ago and has kept it off. His wife lost 47 pounds during the same period. They recommend only what they use themselves daily.
The lifestyle change hasn’t meant giving up pizza or lasagna. I eat everything in moderation and never feel hungry. The key is maintaining adequate protein intake throughout the day.
For those hesitant to commit, Brews & Blends offers three-day and six-day trial packs that include shakes, tea and aloe. Customers can also purchase products to use at home as part of a structured program.
Students looking to improve athletic performance, people seeking more energy and those wanting to lose weight all find customized solutions at the shop. The focus remains on building consistent habits that become a sustainable lifestyle rather than a temporary diet.
