We would like to announce that the Macedonia Police Department will be participating in this years “Shop With A Cop” program. We are proud to make this a yearly tradition to show unity with our community while helping some of our local families.
This is a holiday program which allows Macedonia Officers to spend some positive “one-on-one” time with area children whose families are having financial hardships or other issues. This program is meant to spread holiday cheer and reinforce the idea of sharing and giving. This program also promotes the idea that role models, of all ages, are important to the development of our local youth.
Area kids will meet up at the Macedonia Police station where they will be given a “police escort” to the Stow High School. Kids will then be served breakfast and meet with Santa Claus. After leaving with a full belly, kids will be escorted to the Stow Wal Mart where they will be given a gift card to shop.
Macedonia Officers will be donating December’s “No Shave” money to this cause. We are also asking that our community get involved by donating.
We have set up a “Macedonia Shop With A Cop” PayPal account where funds can be sent to: mpdshopwithacop@gmail.com. We prefer that donations are made via PayPal but can also be made in person at the Macedonia Police Department (9691 Valley View Road).
