On February 1, 2022, at approximately 1:30 p.m., a 65 year old female walked away from her Sagamore Hills home. The female is non-verbal and suffers from dementia. Her family subsequently notified law enforcement and the Sagamore Hills Police Department and the Summit County Sheriff’s Office immediately began to search for her. The Ohio State Highway Patrol assisted with a helicopter and the Valley Enforcement Group provided a drone.
At approximately 9:00 p.m., the female was located near a ravine. She was alert and conscious when she was rescued by law enforcement officials. The Valley Fire District transported her to a local hospital for further treatment.
