New Vintage Store Opens in Northfield Center

Recent Kent State graduate brings size-inclusive shopping to Aurora Road

A new vintage clothing store is set to open its doors in Northfield this Saturday, offering size-inclusive fashion from a recent college graduate turned first-time business owner.

Buggin Butterfly Vintage, located at 115 E Aurora Road, will celebrate its grand opening Saturday, June 21 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Owner Bella Joyce Ward, 22, graduated from Kent State University with a business management degree and immediately put her education to work opening the boutique.

“My main focus is to be size inclusive,” Joyce Ward said. The store will carry vintage clothing ranging from XXS to 3XL, along with shoes, accessories, jewelry and purses. Men’s and children’s vintage items are planned for the future.

Joyce Ward, a 2021 Nordonia High School graduate, brings retail experience from her four-and-a-half years working at Once Upon a Child, where she worked through her senior year and college years.

The store will operate Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with Sundays and Mondays reserved for restocking. Joyce Ward plans to eventually expand to seven-day operations.

The location offers both front and rear parking lots for customer convenience. The business can be followed on Instagram at @bugginbutterflyvintage.
