Taken from a Macedonia Police Report
At approximately 11:11 hours on S. Bedford Rd. I initiated a traffic stop on a silver Chevy Impala for a marked lanes violation that I observed on I 271 Southbound.
Upon my initial approach I observed a male driver and could smell a strong odor of marijuana mixed with orange air freshener coming from inside the vehicle. Also in plain view, on the front passenger seat, I observed bits of marijuana “shake”. I advised the driver of the reason for the stop and asked him for his driver license. He was identified as the registered owner of the vehicle. I asked him if there was any marijuana in the vehicle and he stated that a coworker at his job had been smoking marijuana in the vehicle earlier in the day. I ask him again if there was any fresh marijuana in the vehicle. He then stated that there was a small amount of marijuana in the center console of the vehicle. At that time, I requested another unit and a short time later another officer arrived to assist.
I ordered the male out of the vehicle and upon a search of his person, no contraband was found. Upon a search of the vehicle, found in the center console were a small clear plastic container containing marijuana and a rolled marijuana blunt. No further contraband was found.
The marijuana weighed approximately 1.0g total and field tested positive for THC.
The male was cited into Macedonia Mayor’s Court for possession of marijuana (MM) and driving in marked lanes (MM).
