Nordonia Board of Education Meeting: District Revenue Up Slightly From Last Year (VIDEO)

District Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer Matt Brown gave a brief 2022 financial update to Board of Education members at the January 9, meeting.

The district showed a slight revenue increase compared to this time last year.

The district showed an increase of $25.7 million through December as compared to $25.3 million this time last year.

“That’s a 1.7 percent increase,” Brown said.

The increase is due in part to restricted and unrestricted state financial aid, according to Brown.

Expenditures were also higher than last year. The district showed just under $27.1 million in expenditures through December 2022 compared to just under $26 million at this time last year, Brown said.

The increase was due in part to personnel services, including a 2 percent employee wage increase negotiated for this fiscal year.

Overall the unencumbered, unrestricted balance of $10.6 million.
