This week has been nothing short of amazing for the Nordonia Varsity and Junior Varsity Bowling boys. Let’s dive into the action-packed week they had!
The Varsity Boys Knights kicked off strong as champions at the Buckeye Classic tournament. Kyan Freyhoff was a standout, bowling a whopping 702 and snagging the 3rd highest score in the tournament in Columbus.
Next up, the boys faced Solon High School’s team at the Northwoods Bowling Center. Our boys bowled their hearts out and clinched a win with a score of 2596 against Solon’s 1989. Aiden Bionda, Josh Ware, Justin Roberts, and the rest of the team really showed their skills, making us all proud.
But the action didn’t stop there. The very next Thursday, the Nordonia boys went head-to-head with North Royalton. It was a close match, but our boys rolled a fantastic score of 2370, beating North Royalton’s 3859. Kyad Freyhauf was on fire again, scoring a total of 431 over two games.
On Friday, the boys were up against Barberton, warming up for the big Sectional Preview Tournament. Drew Kitzmiller led the team, and together they scored a total of 2709, leaving Barberton trailing with 1447.
The highlight of the week was Saturday, January 13th, at the Sectional Preview Tournament at Spins Bowl in Kent. Our boys were unstoppable, grabbing the first-place trophy and leading the pack from start to finish. Big cheers for Josh Ware and Justin Roberts, who made the all-tournament team. And of course, a huge shoutout to every player who bowled their best.
With such a successful week behind them, the team is now gearing up to face Twinsburg on Thursday at Roseland Lanes by 4:00PM. Good luck to our Knights in the new week of games! Keep rolling and showing everyone what you’ve got!
