Knights edge Solon by six strokes to stay undefeated in league play
The Nordonia girls golf team secured their third consecutive Suburban League National Conference tournament victory, shooting a team score of 357 to narrowly defeat Solon (363) and Hudson (364).
Senior Natalie Barnes paced the Knights with an 82, earning the third-best individual score in the National Conference. Maddie Eisner contributed an 88, good for fifth place in the conference standings.
Rounding out the Nordonia scoring were Carley Sutton (93), Polly Loney (94), Kayla Joo (98), and Tori Chylik (118).
The victory positions Nordonia favorably heading into the final league tournament September 24 at Tanglewood National Golf Club, where they’ll look to clinch the Suburban League National Conference championship.
With three wins in three tournaments, the Knights have maintained their pursuit of the league title throughout the season.
