Grizzlies dominate Knights 3-0 in Tuesday home match
Wadsworth’s volleyball team delivered a commanding performance Tuesday night, sweeping Nordonia 3-0 in a conference match at the Knights’ home court in Macedonia.
The Grizzlies controlled all three sets, winning 25-18, 25-23, and 25-16 to earn the straight-set victory. Wadsworth showed balanced offensive attack throughout the match while limiting Nordonia’s scoring opportunities.
The Knights struggled to find rhythm against Wadsworth’s defense, managing their best performance in the second set before the Grizzlies pulled away in the final frame.
The loss snapped Nordonia’s strong start to the season, bringing their record to 8-1 overall and 4-1 in conference play. Despite the setback, the Knights remain in second place in the Suburban National Conference standings with an impressive .889 winning percentage.
Nordonia has been particularly strong on the road this season, posting a perfect 5-0 record in away matches. The Knights will look to bounce back when they travel to Hudson on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
