Nordonia High School Graduate Featured for Paraprofessional Work with Maple Heights High School

Nordonia High School graduate Theopolis Washington III was featured on the Point Park University website for his work as a paraprofessional for Maple Heights High School in Maple Heights, Ohio, and as a track and field coach for Glenville High School in Cleveland, Ohio.

Washington earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in instructional studies science from Point Park University in Downtown Pittsburgh.

He is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and is currently living in Macedonia, Ohio.

“My instructional studies degree from Point Park University put me in a position to prepare for my future in special education. On my first day at Maple Heights High School, I was assigned to work with students in the special education department,” Washington said.

“Currently, I am enrolled at Kent State University for graduate school, majoring in their mild/moderate needs for special education and special education Pre-K through fifth grade teaching license program. I would like to be an intervention specialist in an urban school district,” he added.
