Writer’s Guild of Nordonia Hills Writing group for aspiring writers

October 18, November 15, December 20, January 17, 6:30 pm 

Writers wanted! New writers and old hands welcome, fiction, nonfiction, and everything in between. Have your work critiqued and give feedback to others in a fun and friendly environment. Please bring a sample of your work to share.

Nordonia Hills Game Time – Board Games for Everyone

With winter weather comes increased energy usage. Learn how to prepare now for winter energy costs and how to minimize your utility bills while making the most of every dollar you spend on energy.   Presented by Tonja Stewart Shaw, Senior Outreach & Education Specialist from the Office of the Ohio Consumers’ Counsel (OCC).

Baby Time

Baby Time features books, bounces, songs, and bubbles followed by a playtime.  Baby Time is for ages 2 and under. Register online, by phone, or in person.

Messy Monday

Join us for some messy fun at 6:15pm. Remember to wear some old clothes, you may get messy. Register online, by phone, or in person.

November 20– Pointillism Art-We will experiment with various round objects to create a            pointillism art piece.

December 18-Snow Paint Pictures-Make a creamy, puffy paint that is cold to the touch and top your picture off with some glitter

January 29- Sparkly Winter Paintings-Enjoy a process art activity but creating a beautiful winter painting with paint, glue, and Epsom salt.

Thrilling Thursdays

Thursday, 4 pm

Join us after school at 4 pm for some fun activities.

November 30–Fall Tree Luminaries- With some tissue paper, a jar, and few other craft materials make a festive luminary that can be used over and over again.

December 21- Make your own snow globe.

January 18– Hex Bugs-Design a maze with different pathways and obstacles out of various materials and then use the hex bugs to see how they respond.

On the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:30pm, we’ll try something new. Maybe a craft, a recipe, or a new skill.

Thursday, November 16 We are making Reese’s Turkeys to share with family and friends!

Thursday, December 21st Come and celebrate everything Chocolate! We’ll create, play games and eat chocolate!

Thursday, February 15h Miss Sue will provide all different kinds of material and you will design your own cell phone stand.

Teen Lit Loot

Grades 6-12 are invited to register for our book box service: Lit Loot! Each box will contain two books and an assortment of goodies. Register in person, or by phone at330-467-8595.
