YOGA off the Mat: Cleveland Clinic Style Wellness Yoga
Learn soothing stretches to incorporate into daily life in this gentle yoga series from an instructor certified in Cleveland Clinic style Wellness Yoga. No mat is needed – stretches are done standing or in a chair. Attend one class or the whole series, and please dress in comfortable clothing. This class is limited to twenty participants, and registration is strongly suggested. Wednesdays, March 23, 30, and April 6, 6:30 p.m.
Mystery Book Discussions
The Mystery Book Lovers discussion group is an informal group of adult mystery readers, meeting the fourth Wednesday of each month. Our next discussion title will be The Last Policeman by Ben H. Winters on Wednesday, March 23 at 7 p.m.
The Convention of States
James Petsche discusses the background of Article V of the U. S. Constitution, exploring the possibility of a convention of states. Registration is suggested. Thursday, March 24 at 7 p.m.
Science Saturday
Do you like to see how things work? Are you a hands-on type of kid? This program is for you! Children school age and up bring moms, dads, and the whole family. We’re going to decorate eggs with natural dyes on Saturday, March 26 at 2:30 p.m.
5th & 6th Grade Book Club

Civil War, Lincoln, & Emancipation
Historian and author Michael Kovacevich speaks about Abraham Lincoln, the struggle to preserve the Union, the Emancipation Proclamation, and the contribution of black soldiers to the victory of the North over the South. Registration is suggested. Thursday, March 31 at 7 p.m.
Crafters’ Corner
Join your fellow craft enthusiasts for daylong fun. Bring your own supplies. All crafts welcome. Lots of table space to spread out. Refreshments served. Come for an hour or the entire day. Saturday, April 2, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Beat the Sugar Blues
Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner Nicole Lazar teaches how to stop craving sugar and discover where and how sugar “hides.” Learn about sugar alternatives and the pros and cons of each. Uncover the side effects of artificial sweeteners. Discover new natural sweeteners and how to use them, and learn the effects of sugar on the body (including digestion, blood sugar, energy levels, and balance in the body). Tuesday, April 5, 6:30 p.m.

For students in grade 5 and up. One Wednesday a month at 4 p.m. Please register for each date. Make a mini magnetic game board to enjoy on spring break on Wednesday, April 6.

Monday Casual Reads
Join us the second Monday of each month for reader-to-reader book discussions, fun, and sharing with fellow light reading lovers. We will discuss Defensive Wounds by Lisa Black on Monday, April 11 at 2 p.m.
3rd – 4th Grade Book Club
For children in 3rd-4th grades. Once a month at 4 p.m., we will read a different chapter book and then come in and talk about it with others over a drink and a snack. On Monday, April 11, we will read Timmy Failure: Now Look What You’ve Done by Stephen Pastis.

Rock ‘n’ Roll and the Cleveland-Akron Connection
Author Deanna Adams discusses the history of rock n’ roll music in northeast Ohio, from the first documented rock concert in 1952, to the Cleveland record spinners that “got the rock rollin’,” to stories about the clubs, bands and musicians from the heyday of the ’60s through the ’90s. Much focus will be on the Akron/Canton/Kent area. Registration is suggested. Thursday, April 14 at 7 p.m.
Nordonia Hills Game Time
The library hosts a regular games “meet-up” each month for patrons who enjoy: board games, cards, chess, role-playing, war games, and collectible card games. The next meet-up will be on Saturday, April 16, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Join fellow local players – Sharpen your intellect – Enjoy the social aspects of games. Refreshments are served. No registration is necessary.
