Fill the Bus Food Drive
In partnership with The Emergency Assistance Center of Northfield, the Library is a drop off site for the Fill the Bus food drive campaign. Canned and boxed foods (non-expired) are requested. Drop off donations in the Library lobby. October 1 – October 26.
Story Times
Baby Time, Thursdays, October 25-November 15, 10:15 a.m.
For children 24 months and under with a parent or caregiver. Our programs feature bounces, songs, and stories.

Mystery Book Discussions
The Mystery Book Lovers discussion group is an informal group of adult mystery readers. Our next discussion will be “Reader’s Choice” of a Reginald Hill mystery on Wednesday, October 24 at 7 p.m.
Family Night
Join our program for families of all ages! One Monday a month at 6:30 p.m., we’ll get together for some great crafts. On Monday, October 29 – We are going to make Halloween Puppets.
Let’s Eat!
For students in grade 5 and up. One Tuesday a month at 3:30 p.m. we will get together and create something delicious. Tuesday, October 30 – Create Dracula’s dentures with Miss Sue. And then we’ll eat them.
Adult Coloring Night
Bring your own coloring book or choose from provided coloring pages and spend the evening relaxing and coloring with new friends. Tuesday, October 30, 6 p.m.
Crafters’ Corner
Join your fellow craft enthusiasts for daylong fun. Bring your own supplies. All crafts welcome. Lots of table space to spread out. Refreshments served. Come for an hour or the entire day. Saturday, November 3, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Teens Do Something
This is a great way for students in 5th through 12th grades to volunteer. We will meet one Saturday a month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to do a different type of project. Please contact us for more details. Saturday, November 3.
Science Saturday
On Saturday, November 3, at 2:30 p.m., join us for great hands on STEAM fun! Children, school age and up, bring your moms, dads, and the whole family.

Paws for Reading

Cookies and Conversation
The second Wednesday of each month at 3:30 p.m., meet to talk about what’s going on your life, school, town or the world. We’ll discuss philosophy, current events or whatever is on the group’s mind. And remember we have cookies! November 14 at 3:30 p.m.
After School Club
After School Club is one Wednesday per month, for children in Kindergarten through 4th grade. On November 14 at 4 p.m., make a fall ice cream cone teepee.
Writers’ Guild of Nordonia Hills
Writers wanted! New writers and old hands welcome: fiction, nonfiction, and everything in between. Have your work critiqued and give feedback to others in a fun and friendly environment. Please bring a sample of your work to share. Light snacks provided. Meets the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. The next meeting will be on Wednesday, November 14.
Socrates Café
Interested in candid, thought-provoking conversation? Join your fellow patrons at the Socrates Café, an informal adult discussion that takes place each month here at the library. The Cafe opens on Wednesday, November 14 at 6:30 p.m. 16 & over, please.
A Storytelling “Tellabration”
Storytellers from the Western Reserve Association for the Preservation and Perpetuation of Storytelling present an adult story concert. These are stories especially designed “not just for children.” Some tales will make you think, some will make you laugh, will make you wonder, but all of them have hidden wisdom for you to discover. Thursday, November 15, 7 p.m.
Nordonia Hills Game Time
Join our regular gaming “meet-up” each month for patrons who enjoy board games, cards, chess, role-playing, war games, and collectible card games.
