Held each year, the Nordonia Hills Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing is a great way to network with fellow business leaders and enjoy a great game of golf on one of the many beautiful courses in the area. This event will take place on Aug. 30 at Ellsworth Meadows Country Club. A portion of the net proceeds for this event will be used to fund the Nancy Fike and Ray Kujawinski Memorial Scholarships. Proceeds from the Hole 17 “move the ball” game will fund a Michael Dolan Memorial Scholarship to the First Tee of Cleveland. Hole 17 is sponsored by Ridgway Insurance. Breakfast will be provided by our Chick-fil-A Macedonia. The Oakwood Village Sam’s Club will donate snacks for the golfers and volunteers. The steak dinner will be catered by the new owners of Pat Dee’s Grill. Vista Springs Living will supply appetizers to hold everyone between golf and dinner. And the chefs at Brentwood Health Care Campus will prepare a dessert for attendees. Thank you also to Derek Mercer, Nordonia YMCA, for providing pop and water for the outing.

And RAFFLES!!! What’s a golf outing without raffles???? Here’s what you can win: 52” TV from Best Buy, HP Printer w/ paper & ink from Office Max, Car Care Card from Olde 8 Tire, gift cards, baskets, and certificates. There will be something for everyone in this Pick-a-Prize Raffle. (A complete list of raffle donations will be available at nordoniahillschamber.org.) But if you’re not there to purchase tickets, you can’t win!
There are many “reasons” to join us at the 2018 Chamber Outing. You can either pick one of these when you tell your boss/wife/co-workers that you’ll be out of the office on Thursday, Aug. 30, or you can make up your own. Our reasons to golf are all bona fide business reasons – yours may not be!!!!
- Entertaining – golf is a great event to show customers and clients (current and prospective), co-workers, neighbors and family a good time – not necessarily making money that day but seeing the benefits down the road.
- Networking – This is the perfect way to bring different people together for the same cause – to further your business and strengthen and add to your contact list!
- Competition – You KNOW you like to win! But this might be the time to let you client come close!!
- Publicity – The outing is a great excuse to promote your business! Your name on a hole, beverage cart or auction item will show your guests, colleagues and this community that you are involved and support the Nordonia Hills business community. Every marketing professional will tell you that your involvement may not reap rewards that day, but the more exposure you get, the more likely your business will grow.
