Beth Cardina is a graduate of Kent State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Child and Family Services. She is a Licensed Social Worker with over thirty years’ experience in the child welfare and juvenile court systems. She currently serves as the Program Director for the CASA/GAL Program of Summit County, one of the largest programs in the state of Ohio. She has extensive experience working with foster and adoptive parents in both the public and private sectors. Ms. Cardina is an approved trainer for The Ohio Child Welfare Training Program, where she provides pre-service training for prospective foster/adoptive parents as well as developing training curriculum for in-service trainings. She is also a former trainer for The Supreme Court of Ohio Judicial College. Ms. Cardina served on the Board of the Akron Area Association for the Education of Young Children, is a current member of the Ohio CASA Board and a graduate of the Child and Family Leadership Exchange. In 2019 she was appointed to serve on the Northeast Ohio Citizen Review Panel. These panels have the unique opportunity to drive child welfare policy in the state and are part of a federal mandate under the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act.
