Nordonia Knights 11U watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in an 8-5 loss to MAF Gators on Wednesday. MAF Gators scored on a single by Ryan M and a stolen base by Ryan in the second inning.
MAF Gators pulled away for good with three runs in the second inning. In the second Ryansingled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run and Luke M drew a walk, scoring one run.
MAF Gators scored three runs in the sixth inning. The offensive firepower by MAF Gators was led by Zack F and Matt D, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Ryan led things off on the hill for MAF Gators. The ace lasted six innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out seven and walking one.
Bo L started the game for Nordonia Knights 11U. The lefty allowed four hits and three runs over three innings, striking out five and walking one. Landon R and Brayden A entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two innings and one inning respectively.
Nordonia Knights 11U tallied six hits in the game. Brock B and Brayden each managed multiple hits for Nordonia Knights 11U. Brayden and Brock all had two hits to lead Nordonia Knights 11U. Logan R led Nordonia Knights 11U with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 11 stolen bases.
MAF Gators racked up nine hits on the day. Matt and Joey C each had multiple hits for MAF Gators. MAF Gators stole 15 bases during the game as five players stole more than one. Asher C led the way with three.
