Thursday was a long day for Nordonia Knights 8U, falling to Ohio Premier Elbert 8U 15-3.
In the first inning, Nordonia Knights 8U got their offense started when Connor L singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.
In the bottom of the first inning, Ohio Premier Elbert 8U tied things up at two. Dominic M drove in one when he doubled.
Ohio Premier Elbert 8U pulled away for good with eight runs in the third inning. In the third Ben L singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run, Lucas B doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, Eddie L singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, Cruz C doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, Connor R doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, and Tommy S singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Joey S toed the rubber for Nordonia Knights 8U. He lasted one and one-third innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out two and walking zero. Max B, Mason M, Jackson S, and Jayden B each entered the game as relief, throwing one inning, one inning, one-third of an inning, and one-third of an inning respectively.
Nordonia Knights 8U saw the ball well today, racking up six hits in the game. Mason and Miles H all managed multiple hits for Nordonia Knights 8U.
