Thursday’s game against Brecksville-Broadview Heights was a heartbreaker for Nordonia Knights, as they lost the lead late in a 6-5 defeat. The game was tied at two with Brecksville-Broadview Heights batting in the top of the fifth when Beach homered on a 1-2 count, scoring three runs.

Brecksville-Broadview Heights opened up scoring in the second inning. Brecksville-Broadview Heights scored one run when Glotz singled.
After Brecksville-Broadview Heights scored one run in the top of the seventh, Nordonia Knights answered with one of their own. Brecksville-Broadview Heights scored when Dicocco singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. Nordonia Knights then answered when Matt Janosek’s sac fly scored one run for Nordonia Knights.
Reasor led things off on the mound for Brecksville-Broadview Heights. The hurler lasted five and a third innings, allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out three.
Hunter Grams led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Nordonia Knights. The bulldog lasted five and a third innings, allowing six hits and five runs while striking out four. Janosek threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Nordonia Knights tallied ten hits on the day. Kyan Freyhauf and Owen Smotek all had multiple hits for Nordonia Knights. Smotek and Freyhauf each collected two hits to lead Nordonia Knights.
Dicocco went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Brecksville-Broadview Heights in hits. Brecksville-Broadview Heights was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Beach made the most plays with five.
