Highland pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Ethan Smith‘s sac fly scored one run for Highland and Chase Marquis singled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.
Carter Oviatt led the Highland to victory on the hill. Oviatt allowed two hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out six and walking one.
Ricky McLeod took the loss for Nordonia Knights. McLeod allowed three hits and five runs over three and two-thirds innings.
Jordan Newhouse and Billy Levak all had one hit to lead Nordonia Knights.
