The Nordonia Lady Knights golf team made history last year by being the first Nordonia Golf Team to ever qualify for districts. On Wednesday (10/6/21) at the Sectional Tournament at Fox Den Golf Course, they had a repeat performance shooting a school record 316 to place second and move on to the District Tournament on October 12th at Brookledge Golf Course. The top four teams qualify for districts, and they are Medina Highland with 283, Nordonia-316, Hudson-322, and Kent-323. All of the details for this tournament are on Baumspage.
Christina Nagy led our team with a 75 followed by Julia Gulla-76, Brooke Barnes-78, Larisa Golembiewski-87, and Maci Taylor 89. The previous school record was 329 shot by this team on September 21 in the final 2021 Suburban League Tournament. This is the first time in my 7 years as coach that we had all of our team members under 90 with three of them in the 70s. It was a great day for our team!
