On Friday, January 27th, Nordonia High School Mock Trial teams defeated Austintown Fitch, Stow-Munroe Falls, and Buckeye High School teams to garner a first-place finish at their District competition held at the Summit County Court of Common Pleas in downtown Akron.
The varsity team scored the highest among 18 teams in Summit county, but the second team also advanced to Regional competition, to be held on February 17th.
Winning Outstanding Attorney awards were senior Taylor Root, sophomore Shaylee Henderson, and freshman Olivia Tidmore.
Winning Outstanding Witness awards were seniors Jonathan Madden and Will Lang.
The teams are coached by Endre Szentkiralyi and Farhad Sethna.
