Nordonia Prom Update

RE: PROM UPDATE

Dear Seniors,

The prom survey we gave a few weeks ago overwhelmingly told us you have two non-negotiables for Prom:
1) you want to be able to dance and
2) you want to be able to bring a date of your choice.

The good news is, as of this week, you can dance! So that is one big hurdle out of the way!

The obstacle left to give you as normal of a prom as possible is the 300 person limit. There are 287 graduating Seniors. While we know not all of you will attend, we do anticipate needing more than 300 seats.

At this point (being three weeks out to sell tickets and gather a final count for the caterer), the July 3rd date would mean prom would only be for members of the Class of 2020 (no dates from other grades or schools due to the capacity limit of 300). We know that is NOT what you want.

It is for that reason, we are securing Tuesday, August 4th as THE date for prom.

We already have Signature of Solon reserved for this date and are also working on securing an outdoor venue (with air conditioned tent) for the same date. It is possible the the capacity limit could change for outdoor venues before indoor venues so we want to be prepared if that happens! (Plus the outdoor venue is STUNNING!)

We will share all of the finalized details as soon as we can.

Looking forward to a beautiful and fun end of summer celebration on August 4!!

-Your NHS Team
