Thank you all for your support of Nordonia Football this season. As most of you know, there are countless family members and friends working very hard behind the scenes for these boys.
There are two football Moms in particular who deserve special recognition. Jessica Dorsey and Amy Meadows have run the Nordonia Team Shop located under the home stands in the stadium for the past couple of years. As members of the Nordonia Football Parent Club, they each committed to serving as leads for Team Shop sales for two years.
Dorsey and Meadows were responsible for ordering and selling the spirit wear with hopes of making money for the football parent sponsored programs. Meadows advises that the money raised from the team shop “helps feed and buy the football players things they need.” Examples of such items include sponsoring the hudl program (a training tool for the players,) extra equipment that the school may not pay for, food for meals or even snacks for after lifting. In the past, the Club purchased sideline jackets for cold and rainy nights.
Dorsey’s son David, and Meadow’s son John are each eleventh grade students this school year. They have each climbed the ranks throughout the Nordonia Football program.
As their tenure with the Team Shop lead positions come to an end, Dorsey encourages our community to come out to support the Football Programs and wants everyone to know that “anyone who wants spirit wear can purchase through the team shop during home varsity football games next year’s football season.”
