Northfield Center Springwood and Natalie Road Project

On June 24th the  trustees approved the creation of a Purchase Order, in the amount of $250,000.00, to be drawn from the 04-B-03 (Contracts), 04-C03 (Contracts), and 03-A-10 (Other Expenses) Funds, payable to Tri Mor Corporation, for completion of the Springwood and Natalie Road Reconstruction Project. This PO is in addition to the PO approved via Resolution No. 20/04-13A. The amount of the original PO was $312,987.41. The total portion of the project payable by Northfield Center is now estimated to be $557,514.84.

Editor’s Note:

The project was on hold due to adverse soil conditions. They needed to figure out what could be done and the new costs. The trustees decided to do the job right even though the costs are now much higher. If they did not make these adjustments, the road would have deteriorated much quicker than normal.

Meanwhile, drivers in the area are having to deal with very rough road conditions.

Paving is on the schedule to start July 1st.
