Our local Northfield Post Office honored one of their carriers that passed away recently. They processed with Macedonia Police escort, from the post office to Johnson-Romito Funeral Home. See the video at the end of this article.
Corey Adam Wojcik from Twinsburg, passed away this week at age 30. See his obituary here. He had been with the post office for 6 years. His postal route was the route near the post office.
The postal carriers decorated Corey’s postal truck and many of theirs too for the procession. Corey’s truck led the procession.
Some of the workers at the post office had this to say about Corey:
Corey A. Wojcik was dedicated Carrier at the Northfield Post Office. His smile and laugh could be heard as soon as you hit the door. He was a very hard worker and was always willing to help his fellow carriers. He will truly be missed by his Northfield Postal Family. Somica Butler Supervisor
Corey would often help Supervisor when needed but also enjoyed serving customer on his route. He was beloved by all of his customer, and we never received any complaints when he was on his route. He loved problem solving and I could count on him to make a decision which would help the entire Team. I wanted to come up with a plan for the food drive and without my knowledge Corey contacted a local vendor and order over 40 t-shirts. Corey was extremely intelligent and had a degree in biology. He will truly be missed. He grew up in the area and had numerous family in the Macedonia/ Northfield area. W. Foreman Postmaster
Corey was an inspiration, he really made my transition from Akron Post Office to Northfield Post Office easier. He was always making everyone in the office laugh and had a wonderful attitude. He will truly be missed. Cindy Lute- Supervisor
