June 2–22, 2025 — Northfield Village Police Department responded to a variety of incidents, including arrests, theft investigations, emergency responses, and assistance in a police pursuit.
Arrests & Violations

June 18 – A male driver was arrested during a traffic stop on Northfield Road near Ledge Road for violation of a protection order. He was also cited for driving under suspension. After being taken to Stow Municipal Court and released on a personal bond, he was picked up by another agency due to outstanding warrants.
Reported Thefts

June 9 – MGM security reported a voucher theft. Surveillance footage identified a female suspect taking a VLT voucher before leaving with a male companion. A theft charge and arrest warrant will be filed against the female.

June 16 – A resident on Preakness Drive reported that jewelry and antique coins, valued at $2,050, were taken from her bedroom armoire while she was at work.

June 21 – Two electric bikes were reported stolen from the Ledge Road apartments after 1 a.m. The owner stated the bikes had been locked outside.
Emergency Responses

June 7 – A missing child with special needs was located quickly and safely on Heights Avenue following a brief search.

June 13 – A female resident was discovered deceased on her couch at the Ledge Road apartments by maintenance staff.

June 17 – Officers responded to two separate death-related incidents. One man was found unresponsive at a Northfield Road business but regained consciousness. Later that evening, another male was found deceased at a Victory Boulevard residence; no foul play is suspected.
Additional Incidents

June 4 – Northfield officers assisted Macedonia Police during a vehicle pursuit by deploying stop sticks, successfully halting a fleeing Honda Pilot. The driver escaped on foot. Although a domestic violence investigation was initiated, it did not result in charges.

June 8 – Police conducted a civil standby during a custody conversation on Lincoln Drive and followed up on a suspected child abuse report on Kennedy Boulevard.

June 20 – Officers humanely dispatched and removed a distressed baby deer from Horseshoe Court.
