Crime
Oct. 24 – Officers arrested a 78-year-old man on Roosevelt Drive after he allegedly punched his son in the face and struck his 13-year-old grandson in the stomach. The man was charged with two counts of domestic violence.
Oct. 25 – Police responded to Monroe Drive for a report of an alleged assault in a backyard. The incident stemmed from a dispute between neighbors over a common property line border.
Juvenile Incidents
Oct. 22 – A male juvenile was arrested for criminal damaging following a disturbance on Roosevelt Drive. The case was turned over to Summit County Juvenile Detention Center.
Oct. 23 – A juvenile accused of creating a disturbance at Smith Park was arrested at the entrance to Pitluk Preserve. The juvenile threatened an officer during identification and resisted arrest. Charges of disorderly conduct, menacing and resisting arrest will be filed through Summit County Juvenile Court.
Other Incidents
Nov. 3 – Officers responded to Magnolia Avenue after a bullet was shot through a bedroom wall. Investigation determined the round came from an accidental discharge by a next-door neighbor. Evidence was collected and criminal charges are pending.
Oct. 29 – A woman walked into the police department reporting she was having a seizure. The Northfield Village Fire Department transported her to the hospital.
Oct. 30 – Police took a report for credit card misuse after a victim on Steeple Chase Run reported her account had been compromised.
Oct. 30 – The Detective Bureau received information prompting an investigation on Northfield Road.
