Theft Reported at Circle K

Time/Location: 7:34 a.m., Circle K on Northfield Road

On November 14, 2025, at approximately 7:34 a.m., Northfield Village Police officers responded to Circle K on Northfield Road for a reported theft that occurred earlier that morning at around 4:00 a.m. Upon arrival, officers initiated an investigation. The case has been forwarded to the detective bureau for further investigation.


Walk-In Identity Theft Complaint

Time/Location: 12:36 p.m., Northfield Village Police Department (walk-in report)

On November 15, 2025, Northfield Village Police took a walk-in report regarding identity theft involving an auto loan. A written statement was obtained from the victim, and a suspect was identified. At this time, no charges are pending, and the case has been closed.


Psychiatric Situation on Filly Lane

Time/Location: 9:39 a.m., Filly Lane

On November 16, 2025, officers were dispatched to a residence on Filly Lane after a husband requested that officers speak with his wife about marital issues. During the course of the call, the male subject made statements about harming himself. He was transported to Ahuja Hospital for evaluation. The case was closed following the transport.


Death Reported at Retirement Facility

Time/Location: 12:18 p.m., retirement home on Northfield Road

On November 16, 2025, the Northfield Village Fire Department was dispatched to a retirement home on Northfield Road for a male resident who was reported to be unresponsive but breathing. Officers arrived to find staff performing CPR. Upon the fire department’s arrival, a LUCAS device was used. At approximately 12:46 p.m., the male resident was pronounced deceased.


Wallet Reported Stolen at MGM

Time/Location: 2:27 p.m., reported to Northfield Village Police from MGM

On November 14, 2025, an officer documented a report from a woman who stated that her wallet had been stolen from the MGM property. The matter was recorded as departmental information.


Traffic Stop Leads to OVI Investigation

Time/Location: 10:52 p.m., area of Northfield Road and Sagamore Road

On November 18, 2025, at approximately 10:52 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a blue Saturn near Northfield Road and Sagamore Road for having only one functioning headlight and no license plate light. During the stop, the driver admitted that his driver’s license was suspended and that he had active warrants.

The officer observed signs of impairment and administered field sobriety tests. The driver was placed under arrest for operating a vehicle while impaired and transported to the Northfield Village Police Department for testing. The driver provided a urine sample after evidence suggested impairment by marijuana.

Charges are pending the results of laboratory testing. The driver was advised of his warrants and released.
