Northfield Village Police Reports: String of Thefts and Domestic Disputes

Northfield Village Police Department responded to various incidents over the past week, including welfare concerns, thefts, and domestic disputes.

THEFT INCIDENTS

On May 18th at 10:26 HRS, officers responded to 10777 Northfield Rd (MGM) where a male reported the theft of his wallet. An investigation was initiated.

Earlier in the week on May 12th at 15:49, NVPD received a report from a male at 10455 Northfield Rd regarding lost property. Officers began an investigation into the incident.

DOMESTIC INCIDENTS

Officers responded to North Plaza Drive on May 18th at 02:43 HRS regarding a domestic dispute. After making contact with the individuals involved, a male subject was voluntarily transported to an address in a neighboring jurisdiction. The case remains open, with information being forwarded to the prosecutor for a criminal ruling.

WELFARE CHECKS

On May 12th at 08:35, a resident requested NVPD conduct a welfare check on a neighbor regarding a concerning Facebook post. Following investigation, a female was transported to Ahuja Hospital for treatment. The case has been closed.

AGENCY ASSISTANCE

NVPD was requested by Sagamore Hills PD on May 14th at 17:51 to assist with a shooting victim on Carlin Drive in Sagamore Hills. Officers were redirected to Northcoat Behavioral Health Facility on Sagamore Road for a report of a second shooting. Upon arrival, officers located one subject with gunshot wounds to the abdomen area, while another subject was detained by Northfield Village PD. A report was filed for documentation purposes, and the case has been closed regarding Northfield Village’s involvement. Read more
