CRIME

August 4 – Theft by Deception: A Kennedy Boulevard resident contacted police after a tree company took a security deposit for tree removal services but failed to complete the work or provide a refund. Investigation ongoing.

August 3 – Traffic Offense: Officers responded to a traffic incident on Ledge Road.

August 2 – Menacing by Telecommunications: Police responded to Coventry Drive for a report of threatening communications. A suspect was identified and the case is closed.

August 1 – Criminal Damaging: Officers found slashed tires on a vehicle at Ledge Road. A potential suspect has been identified through investigation.

July 30 – Theft: A female suspect was identified and summoned to Stow Municipal Court after stealing merchandise from Circle K on Northfield Road. The suspect admitted to the theft and has a court date of August 8.

July 30 – Assault: A juvenile was cited into Summit County Juvenile Court following an assault at Smith Park on Houghton Road.

July 29 – Shoplifting: Circle K reported a male taking unpaid items during transactions on July 23 and 28. The store manager opted for a trespass warning rather than pressing charges.

July 27 – Theft: A voucher theft was reported at MGM on Northfield Road. A suspect was identified and charges were filed.

July 24 – Simple Assault: A road rage incident resulted in charges being filed against a suspect. The victim was cleared by fire department medics.

DISTURBANCES

July 30 – Disturbance: An argument between an employee and customer at Mr. Chicken over a wrong order was resolved when the manager provided a refund and corrected the order. The customer was banned from the location.

MENTAL HEALTH/WELFARE

July 27 – Personal Welfare: Officers responded to Filly Lane for a male resident threatening suicide. The man voluntarily went to a hospital for psychological evaluation.

July 27 – Psychiatric Situation: Officers responded to what was initially reported as an assault but found a male in mental distress on Northfield Road. Fire department was called but transport was refused by family.

OTHER INCIDENTS

August 3 – Medical Assist: Police and fire responded to Northfield Village Skilled Nursing after a resident fell from bed. No foul play suspected.

August 1 – Property Damage: Damage was reported at Smith Park on Houghton Road. No suspects identified. Village officials are working to install surveillance cameras.

July 27 – Missing Person: A complainant in the Jyro Automotive parking lot reported their missing spouse. The person was located and no further action was needed.
