Traffic/DUI
Sept. 3 – Driver arrested for OVI after traffic stop for speeding on Sagamore Road near State Route 8 around 10:55 p.m. Strong odor of alcohol detected along with other signs of impairment during the stop. Standardized field sobriety tests administered before arrest. Breath sample registered .119 BAC, well above Ohio’s .08 legal limit. Driver released with Stow Municipal Court date and multiple citations.
Theft
Sept. 3 – MGM voucher ticket theft reported around 11:13 a.m. on Northfield Road. Victim filed walk-in complaint with police. Investigation led to identification of suspect, though no arrest details provided in initial report.
Sept. 3 – Rental vehicle reported overdue around 10:51 a.m. on Northfield Road. Rental company manager provided statement to officers regarding unreturned vehicle. Case resolved same day when car was returned, matter closed.
Missing Person
Sept. 2 – Missing 19-year-old male located around 3:10 p.m. after witnesses spotted him near Meadow Lane. Subject had been entered as missing person through Aurora Police Department. Found in rear of his father’s pickup truck parked in HYKO business parking lot. Northfield Village Fire Department provided medical treatment before transport to Cleveland Clinic in Twinsburg for additional care.
Domestic Violence
Aug. 30 – Domestic violence investigation conducted around 6:04 p.m. on McKinley Drive following dispatch call. Officers interviewed involved parties and investigated the reported incident.
