July 23 Inducing Panic – Cranbrook Drive Northfield Village Police responded to a swatting incident on Cranbrook Drive at approximately 8:13 p.m. after receiving a call from someone claiming to have killed his mother with an AR-15 and threatening to shoot officers. Police established a perimeter and safely evacuated residents from the home before clearing it. No one else was found inside, and initial investigation indicates the call was false.
July 19 Drug Overdose Response – MGM Casino Police and fire crews responded to the MGM south parking lot for a report of an unconscious female who appeared to be overdosing. The woman was administered two doses of Narcan and transported to a hospital where she is expected to survive. A male at the scene was arrested for drug possession.
Street Takeover Leads to Pursuit – Event Center Officers responded to an event center on Northfield Road at 6 p.m. for reports of a street takeover with four high-performance vehicles doing burnouts in the parking lot. The vehicles fled when police arrived, and officers pursued one vehicle before terminating the chase due to public safety concerns.
July 16 Domestic Violence Arrest – Rosewood Avenue A juvenile was arrested for domestic violence after striking his grandmother in the face. The boy was processed at Northfield Village Police Department and transported to Summit County Juvenile Detention Center.
July 14 Shooting Incident Leads to Multiple Charges – Coventry Drive A woman was arrested after a reported shooting on Coventry Drive led to a brief police pursuit. The suspect fled in a silver vehicle before bailing out on foot and being apprehended. She faces multiple felony charges including aggravated menacing, discharging a firearm near prohibited premises, and failure to comply with police orders.

July 5 Theft Investigation – MGM Casino Officers responded to a theft report at MGM Casino but determined no charges would be filed based on the circumstances.
July 4 Medical Emergency – Motel Police and fire crews responded to a Motel for a report of a 1-year-old child not breathing. The child was transported to UH Ahuja for medical treatment.
