“They” are not Major League Baseball players from years gone by, but officials from the Northfield Center Board of Trustees.
Trustees unanimously voted Aug. 10 at two special meetings to order clean up and repairs to two neglected properties and bill the owners.
One of the measures was an abatement of burned debris and a basement clean up in the 400 block of W. Twinsburg Road, pursuent to Ohio Revised Code.
The abatement will be requested within 30 days, or a tax lien will be placed on the property, according to Trustees.
Trustees also voted to order the abatement of dead and diseased trees at a home in the 9000 block of Pleasantview Drive.

In other action:
* The Center has been awarded a $300,000 grant for this year and the same amount for next from the American Rescue Plan. Allocation of the funds will be discussed at a future meeting.
* The Chair requested a motion to authorize the fiscal officer to draw current warrants/vouchers totaling $255,763 to meet expenditures. Unanimously approved.
* The Chair requested a motion to approve the repair of the elevator by Otis Elevator. Unanimously approved.
* The Chair requested a motion to approve the payment of $23,962.67 to Northfield Macedonia Cemetery as Northfield Center’s share of the 2021 Sub-Division Assessment.
Unanimously approved.
