504

Ann Oldsey (nee Ach) 87, born June 19th, 1934, entered the Glory land with her Heavenly Father on Good Friday, April 15, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Oldsey, cherished daughter of the late James and Frances Ach, precious mother of Joseph Oldsey (Caroline) and Susan Martino (David), lovinggrandmother and “Nani” to Jenifer Skala (Jason), Joey Oldsey (Jenny), Jeremy Martino (Amanda), Jonathan Martino, Nicholas Martino (Lori), and great-grandmother to Julianne Martino, Sam Martino, Gianna Oldsey, Audrey Oldsey, and “step-Nani” to Isobel Skala and Eve Skala.

Ann’s treasured cousins made up for her lack of siblings, all with which she shared special friendshipsand memories. She grew up with many aunts and uncles she loved deeply and was a proud coal miner’s daughter. Her passion for music was lifelong, and she could put a melody to absolutely anything. Playing piano as a little girl at church, choir director for Christian Assembly Church, creating little songs that would become treasures to her kids and grandkids, and whistling well into her last days only scratch the surface of her harmonious nature. Ann served as Superintendent of Sunday School at Christian Assembly, and president of the Dorcas Fellowship. She volunteered many years at Northwest District church camp, developed a nursing home ministry, and enjoyed a remarkable career as a senior merchandise buyer for J.C. Penney Co., from which she retired in 1996.

Known as “Nani” or “Anna” to many, she became a role model, teacher, and friend, leaving an impact on every person who met her. She was constantly looking for ways to help others in any way she could. You never left her home hungry, because she fed you the very best of her phenomenal cooking and filled your soul with precious companionship and laughter. Ann was classy, loyal, intelligent, loved to travel, and amazingly hospitable, but above all she was humble and loved Jesus wholeheartedly – serving Him faithfully to the very end of her accomplished race.
