Obituary: BEVERLY A. CLARK (nee Smith)

Beverly (Cookie Smith) Clark, 74, of Garfield Hts, OH, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2019, in Garfield Hts with her three loving sons at her side.

Born in Cambridge, Ohio, on May 16, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Leslie M. Smith (6/22/09) and Margaret L. Smith (6/9/99).  She was a Methodist by faith.

She was a 1963 graduate of Cambridge High School and, for a period of time, worked for GTE Telephone Co. in Cambridge.

She married the love of her life,Tom Clark, on September 12, 1964, and they journeyed to the Cleveland area to begin their life together and start their family.  Tom, employed at Chrysler Corp. (until retirement), and Cookie, employed at a Physicians’ office front desk, became parents to the joys of their life, Tommy, Todd and Ted, who are still living in the Cleveland area. Being the parents of three hockey players, the sport of hockey was such a big part of their lives and Cookie was able to attend a recent game to cheer on the team.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Tom (9/19/08) and her brother, Gordie Smith (2/19/14).

She was loved and will be dearly missed by her sons, Tommy (Sarah), Todd (Loraine) and Ted (Brandie); her three beautiful granddaughters, Abbey, Alex and Julia Clark, all of Cleveland; her sister, Barbara “Jeannie” Hough, brother-in-law, Robert “Bob” Hough, nephew, Gordon Hough and niece, Jennifer (Tim) Reed, all of Cambridge; and great niece and nephews, Jessi (Drew) Dickerson of Indiana, Parker (Sydney) Reed of California and Ty Reed of Cambridge; and special family friends Julie (Selders) Boutwell of Cambridge, and Renae (Janashak) Clark, of Cleveland.

Friends may call at the FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME 356 W. AURORA RD (ST RT 82) SAGAMORE HILLS WHERE FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD FRIDAY AT 10:00AM VISITATION THURSDAY 4:00-8:00PM. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
