Charles Anthony Joseph Cala, a veteran of World War II and longtime resident of Bedford, Ohio passed away on April 11, 2022 in his home; which he built in 1956.
He was surrounded by family and those who loved him. Charlie was born on April 24, 1924 to Leo and Marie Cala. Charlie was reunited with the love of his life, Archie Cala, with whom he had three children, Sandra Weber (Richard), Charlene DeVoy (Michael), and Leo Cala (Joyce). Charlie was an exceptional grandfather to 10, great grandfather to 16, great great grandfather 2 and a legend to all.
Charlie was a mason, a career he loved and was dedicated to for close to 60 years. Charlie was an avid gardener and card player. He was part of countless games of pinochle. He enjoyed golfing and gambling and got on the craps table every chance he had. We will be Charlie is jitterbugging in heaven with his “baby”
Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 WEST AURORA RD. (OH RT 82), SAGAMORE HILLS FOR VISITATION ON THURSDAY FROM 4-8 P.M. Charlie’s funeral services will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
