Obituary: CHRISTINE M BALCER (Nee Dornes)

CHRISTINE M BALCER (Nee Dornes); Beloved wife of William, Loving mother of Krystie, Billy (Anne-Marie), and Jonathan (Olena); Cherished grandmother of Kristah and Katarina; Dearest sister of Joseph (Diane); Treasured sister-in-law of Ronald and Carole; Dear Aunt of Ronald Jr., Jay, and Richard sons of Linda; Christine became our guardian angel on Friday February 19, 2020. She was born December 23, 1952. She was initially a cosmetologist for many years giving up that profession to raise her children. Later, she worked at John Carroll University meeting many lifelong friends. Her greatest love was her family.  Her meals were always “made with love” as she said. Over the years, she selflessly drove all over the state so her children wouldn’t miss one practice, race, or competition. She was best known for going overboard decorating, cooking up a storm, and buying perfect thoughtful gifts for every holiday, birthday, and big event. More recently, she loved every moment playing and laughing with her granddaughters. She always strived to make every day special for all.  Friends may call at the FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME 356 W. AURORA RD (ST RT 82) SAGAMORE HILLS FOR VISITATION WEDNESDAY 2-8 PM. OUT OF RESPECT FOR ONE ANOTHER MASKS WILL BE WORN AND SOCIAL DISTANCING OBSERVED.  Family and friends are asked to gather Thursday at the Church of the Resurrection 32001 Cannon Rd. Solon, Ohio for a Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Christine’s life at 11:00 AM.  Interment All Saints Cemetery.
