CONSILIO, James J. 87, was born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 25, 1936. Parents of the late Joseph and the late Anna (Ford) Consilio. Surviving Jim is his sister, Barbara, now living in Florida. Also, surviving him is his dear and longtime friend, Gloria Callahan.
Florence Popp and James were married in1962 in Maple Heights, where they lived. Flo passed unexpectedly and their son, Gregory passed at age 50.
Some years later, James married Barbara Favozzo and helped raise her three children: Steven, Lisa, and Frank. Jim, Barb, and their family lived in Macedonia. Jim and Barb lived later in Twinsburg, Florida, and Las Vegas. After returning to Twinsburg, Barbara sadly passed while hospitalized after surgery. Jim was step grandfather to Steve’s children, Nathan and Anna, whom he enjoyed seeing.
James joined the Marine Corps not long after graduating high school. He tried out and was chosen to play trumpet in the Marine Corps band based in Florida. He achieved Corporal status before being honorably discharged. After serving, he held several jobs until joining Goodyear Tire Company in the retail sales division. This position required him to travel a distance throughout a portion of Ohio and briefly, in Michigan. He achieved salesman of the year. Jim was an avid music lover and continued to play trumpet in small bands until deciding it was time to give the trumpet a rest.
Jim enjoyed large family gatherings with his aunts, uncles, and cousins at holidays and summer picnics. He particularly enjoyed the excellent food provided by his aunts who were excellent cooks.
Jim was an outgoing guy who loved music in his life, his family, and friends. He will be dearly missed by all. Rest In Peace knowing you are loved.
