Denise A. Basch (Beigie), 61, passed away on January 24, 2021 and went home to be with the Lord. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Denise truly lived for her family and friends. She was a proud grandmother and enjoyed any activity involving her grandchildren, from school events, birthdays, Island Sundays, and most especially camping at Clay’s Park. She always made it a priority to be there for her five children, whether it was a sporting event when they were younger, or a visit and a meal as they grew older and started their own families. In recent years, Denise and Don took several wonderful trips including to Hawaii and driving Route 66 from beginning to end. Denise was more vibrant than the most brilliant diamond and more precious than gold. She will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by her father, Carol (Bud) Beigie Jr.; she is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Don; her children, Donny (Brenda) Basch, Daniel Basch, Dennis (Hannah) Basch, Dustin (Kate) Basch, and Dayna (Jerrod) Workman; mother, Geraldine (Uniatowski) Beigie; brothers, Chris (Diana) Beigie and Douglas (Barb) Beigie; sisters, Nancy (Kevin) Strand and Carolyn Beigie; her 11 beloved grandchildren, Lydia, James, Grace, Hank, Harper, Stella, John, Adam, Joseph, Levi, and Jacob; and many other loving relatives and friends who were like family. One of Denise’s passions outside of work and her family was St. Barnabas Catholic School. She dedicated many years of service as the athletic director and volunteered for many other activities.
