Obituary: DONNA MATUSZ (nee Novak)

DONNA MATUSZ (nee Novak) age 86, of Northfield Center, passed away peacefully at her home on May 2, 2021, surrounded by her loving family and pets. Born December 19, 1934, in Twinsburg, Donna graduated from Twinsburg High School.  After marriage, she and her husband lived in Japan and then San Antonio until 1969 when she returned to Ohio to make her home in Northfield Center. She was the devoted mother of Charles A. and James G.  Donna worked at the Ohio Turnpike as a gate agent, the Colosseum as cashier supervisor, and the Multipurpose Center helping clients with the Dial-A-Ride and Out to Lunch Bunch programs.  She loved her dogs, Lexi and Lacey, and her bird, Dee Dee.  Her hobbies included reading, crocheting, cooking, and dancing.  Donna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andrew C. and mother, Rose. Her loving family includes her in-laws Gordon and Veronica (nee Matusz) Hutchinson, Richard “Dick” and Loretta Matusz (nee Cardarelli), and Donald and Sandy (nee Conley) Matusz. She was an adored aunt to the Hutchinson children James, Barbara, Diane Nygaard (Michael), Jeffrey, and the late Jack (Doreen); Dick and Loretta’s children Victoria, Sally Patriarca (Edward), Lori (Alan) Murray, and Terri Havekost (Doug); and Donald and Sandy’s children Mary, Anne (Kevin Kearney) and the late Michael (Liz). Family and friends are invited to gather at the front of All Saints Cemetery, 480 W. Highland Rd. Northfield, OH. 44067, where a graveside service will be held Friday at 12:00 P.M.
